We were at the NIN / MM show in Springfield, MO in 1994. MM was fairly unknown at the time. The band was in the crowd between sets and after the show with the Jim Rose Circus. He seemed pretty normal in person. I think he’s quite an intellegent person, and likewise very good at creating an image that is his stage persona.
I was on my honeymoon in Kauai, HI in 1995 just after Christmas. We were at the beach at Princeville. I guess he was spending Christmas in Hawaii. He was on the beach swimming. I didn’t bug him as I figured there’s a reason he goes to a high priced resort in Hawaii. Not to be bugged by others. I merely nodded hello and we moved on.
Met Kyle and the rest of Rainer Maria at a resturant in Oklahoma City before a show. It was the first time I had seen him in almost 15 years. We grew up together in Shawnee, OK.
